1974 Franklin Mint Sterling Silver Gold PlateadamsBy george, i think you'll like this auction! This. Listing is for an official bicentennial year commemorative plate produced by the franklin mint in 1974.
It is a limited edition plate (#6322) portraying john adams defending the cause of independence before the continental congress. This plate is made from solid sterling silver, and teh john adams scene is produced by 24kt gold electroplated to the plate. The legend around the rim of the plate is etched and inlaid with 24kt gold. This plate is the first issue in the official bicentennial commemorative plates of the bicentennial council of the thirteen original states. This plate has an 8 inch diameter, and it is in at least near mint condition.It was uprchased and then stored until now. All of the original documentation (including the certificate of authenticity) will be included with this plate and its original packaging.
